About The Side Hustle Events
We aim to bring together some of the most iconic (that you may or may not know) venues and businesses. From pottery, candles and bath bombs, to sleep coaches, chiropractors and hot sauce makers, our events bring a little bit of everything. Over the past four years our goal has been to empower, and support all small businesses in their growth, with an emphasis on community over competition. Our goal is to provide a space for all businesses within the community to connect, collaborate and have fun. Whether you are a business owner, Hamiltonian or visitor, the grit and passion of Hamilton is truly remarkable and something you just need to experience!

Hi! I’m Desiree!
My name is Desiree, founder and event coordinator of The Side Hustle Events. Having been a flight attendant, I have travelled the majority of our country and lived in numerous cities, but Hamilton has always been home. This is where The Side Hustle began, with a love and passion for all things Hamilton and local.
I’ve had the pleasure of joining in on several of The Side Hustle Events as a vendor, and they never disappoint! What sets them apart from other events is not just the unique locations but also the chance they offer to those who don’t often get out of their routine. What’s more, Desiree is a joy to be around, always wearing a bright smile no matter what. It’s a fantastic and fun experience that I highly recommend!

We primarily host events in Hamilton, Ontario.

This depends on the venue! Each venue has a different capacity, however our smallest events are generally 10-15 vendors and the largest 30 - 50 vendors.

We aim to host at least one event each month, with a few more during the holiday and summer seasons as they are the busiest.
